Our tiny homes are being built with Steel SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels) otherwise known as coolroom panels.
To meet our required R value ratings we need to use 75mm wall panels and 125mm Roofing panels.
I have been concerned to avoid our tiny homes looking like large mobile coolrooms so we are intending to use a Faux Timber texture panel which we will spray paint.
Our design is dealing with fairly long panels and we are seeking to avoid using cranes or lifting equipment as we assemble them. The longest panels readily available are 6m and we are building a 7.5m long Tiny Home. These panels dont easily extend without using a H section Aluminum joiner. Asthetically this could be quite intrusive.
What we have decided to do is use a two panels vertically in the centre of the back wall (2 x 1050 cover =2100 wide) with 2700 panels on either side of these horizontally. On the other long side we will have a similar treatment although this wall is broken up by a large sliding stacker sliding door (2100h x 3588w).
